git - "You must type a file name" error thrown, when I create a .gitignore file on Windows -


when try this, following error:

gitignore error

obviously, windows explorer doesn't allow me create type of file patterns. how can overcome problem?

i arrive little late give trick!! ;-)

in file explorer, call file .gitignore. , remove ending '.'

or use text editor...
