ConnectionRefused when trying to connect to hadoop using cloudera -


when try command connects hadoop exception

for example:

command: hdfs dfs -ls /user/cloudera

result:ls: call quickstart.cloudera/10.0.2.15 quickstart.cloudera:8020 failed on connection exception: java.net.connectexception: connection refused; more details see: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/connectionrefused

in addition, when used such commands before, did not have problem.

you need go cloudera manager in browser. bookmarked on firefox "cloudera manager". login "cloudera/clousera". start "hdfs" service. "hadoop fs" commands should start working now.
