javascript - Mapbox/Leaflet: valid GeoJSON produces 'Uncaught Error: An API access token is required' -

i'm trying show point on map, using mapbox v2.2.1, loading geojson external url.

this (valid) geojson @ external url:

it produces error in console:

but if replace geojson polygon, , change absolutely nothing else, see map fine , have no such error:

why getting error? both versions valid geojson.

update: see same error if this:

update 2: ok, think i've figured out problem. never set mapbox access token, , reason if supply geojson polygon mapbox still renders ok without access token, if supply geojson point not!

js reproduce issue:

this renders polygon fine, replace url https://openprescribing.net/api/1.0/org_location/?org_type=practice&q=a81001 , api token error above.

the mapbox.js documentation pretty clear: featurelayer.loadurl(url) takes argument map id. so, interprets string, index.geojson being mapbox map id, , fails because haven't provided api key.

it seems weird ever work in second case.

in case, seems should first fetch geojson file using jquery or similar, call:

l.mapbox.featurelayer(geojson, options)
