excel - Compare two columns for new values -


i trying come formula allow me compare 2 columns of names (a & b) , tell me how many new names there in column b, not present in column a. is, names not present in column a, present in column b, , return numerical value.

any ideas??

quick simple way drag box/highlight around data want check (eg columns , b) , press f5 open goto box. click special @ bottom , check 'row differences' radio button. click ok , highlight differences.
