ruby on rails - Administrate gem install forcing me to use Kaminari? -


after adding gem , running rails g administrate:install go localhost:3000/admin , find app crashes error nomethoderror - undefined method `per' #asset::activerecord_relation:0x007faef5b99820

i figured because administrate gem has kaminari dependency , use will_paginate gem in app.

kaminari , will_paginate not work together. more in here > https://github.com/amatsuda/kaminari/issues/162

i fix issue replacing will_paginate kaminari in gemfile , app running again. use will_paginate gem in app.

is there easy way scope or limit kaminari gem used /admin or used administrate gem? if need write lot of iniliazer scopes seems not wort of trouble.

administrate uses kaminari, if want use else either choose different admin toolkit, or fork administrate gem , make necessary code/dependency changes works different pager want use.
