ios - What is the use of Routing App Coverage File in iTunes Connect? -


what use of uloading routing app coverage file in itunes connect ios app? if upload file, cannot use app outside gps boundaries mentioned in geojson file? how feature work? know more this?

also, have seen app icon showing @ bottom corner of iphone lock screen when reach specific area(mall, airport etc). app related area. show icon users need when publish app? sorry bad english.

in apple documentation, says

routing app coverage files .geojson files specify geographic regions supported app. file can have 1 multipolygon element. multipolygon elements consist of @ least 1 polygon. polygons contain @ least 4 coordinate points. polygon start , end coordinate points must same.
