powershell - Octopus deployment caching -


we using octopus deploy our project. bunch of steps gets executed during deployment. 1 of them powershell script , powershell script work in progress.

however test script have perform dummy check in or can create new release in octopus after change build powershell script step, , pick build steps straight away , not cache, else script gets executed previous version.

i not know if caching or other issue. think kind of issue octopus or setting missing.

please help.

an important aspect of deployment automation ensuring deployments repeated each time run.

when create release in octopus deploy, artefacts, process, , variables "locked in" release. means no matter changes make, lifetime of release performed identically every time.

if deployment tool didn't this, same relase work in test environment, fail in live environment because deployment process changed in way.

in effect, release changes deployment process in same way release changes application itself.

this why need create new release in octopus deploy in order see changes make.
