Connecting to Google Cloud SQL with MySQL Workbench -


i can't seem connect cloud sql workbench. keep getting error.

failed connect mysql @ cloud-sql-ipv4:3306 user root  access denied use 'root'@'white-listed-ip-address' (using password: yes)

  1. i have white listed ip.

  2. i have set ip sql instance.

  3. i have checked username , password several times.

any idea why happening?

it seems have create new user in google cloud console host name set %(any host). can't seem connect using root user.
