xcode - Why do you need a IOS Developer Certificate to run IOS app on Device? -

a bit of beginner ios. trying understand certificates, provisioning profiles, code signing identities , frankly, bit difficult me understand developer docs.

i understand certificate security mechanism apple ensure no 1 has tampered code, public , private key (for sign off on application). makes sense when submit app app store or adhoc testing, apple wants make sure final version submit (ios distribution certificate). how apply ios developer certificate?

from understand, ios developer certificate used limit can run application , on devices can run on.

development certificate used while application being developed , limits number of number devices (100) on app can installed. distribution certificate won't let debug application while installing xcode , disconnect you. signing app store build. there's no difference in certificates other separation apple you.

code signing app assures users known source , app hasn’t been modified since last signed.

you can refer code signing, if describes how code signing works in detail. understand why code signing required.
