virtual - In KVM how to clone a VM to a VM with different disk space -
using centos 6.7 hot kvm virtualization, have created vm virtual disk of size 30gb. want clone vm new vm different disk size. new vm should have disk space of 60gb.
possible @ all? if yes how can it?
why want clone vm deferent space ? 1 - if want clone vm extend hdd of vm kvm use lvm each vm can extend lvm increase hdd of vm
lvextend -l +(size of extend in byte or use g gigabyte) /dev/vgname/lvmnameofvm resize2fs /dev/vgname/lvmnameofvm
you can find lvm , vg name lvdisplay
, vgs
2 - if need clone change location of vm other server suggested first resize vm , clone new vm
note : if want first time first create vm test , after test , work use main vm
you have not controlpanel solusvm ? if have panel can clone vm withouth need on ssh
