ide - Having multiple perspectives open at the same time in Eclipse -


i have large screen , show package explorer , console (in java , debug perspectives respectively) in eclipse @ same time.

i don't want click on "java" or "debug" icon or select "window --> show perspective --> ..." each time want switch between perspectives or see them.

any ideas?

it's not quite possible describe in question (each eclipse workbench supports displaying 1 perspective), following options give similar effect:

  1. open multiple eclipse windows, each using different perspective. isn't great option though, leads to...
  2. (recommended) - avoid perspectives entirely, , open relevant views, positioning them want.

i use option 2 myself - open @ same time, , since don't have things shuffling around or disappearing when switch "perspectives", it's easy train remember specific views are.
