Alternate way to install plugins in wordpress -

i running wordpress on local using web matrix. trying install "types - custom fields , custom post types management." plugin. taking forever seeing message "installing plugin types - custom fields , custom post types management (1/1)" last 1 hour. problem not getting error or installation fail notification. faced kind of issue? , there other way install plugin instead of doing ui available?

hi tolerantcoder,  if not able install plugins admin can download plugins wordpress plugins directory extract zip file , add in wordpress project plugins directory.  i.e: d:\wamp\www\citicollege\wp-content\plugins\   in plugins directory can copy paste plugins , activate admin.
